Default TGQ for June

TGQ News for June

Good Morning Gentlemen,

I wanted to stop by and say “Thank You” to each and every one of you who ordered from TGQ last month. We've been so very busy filling orders that there hasn't been any time to visit, but it looks as though orders are beginning to slow down, while folks are gathering for summer cookouts, trips to the beach and for the rest of us.....working in the garden...lol. Hopefully I'll be spending a little more time visiting, as I have every intention of learning absolutely every detail about straight razor and DE shaving during the summer months, and I really, really want to learn how to do restoration.

I'll also be using the summer months to move the soap business from the little house next door, BACK to the basement here.......”coughs”.......now this isn't exactly how I had things planned for my future, but you learn the play the hand you're given, so play it I will.

I'll be happy to have the basement cleaned out....and I'll have the whole basement to myself this time, instead of a wee corner. I think it'll work out just fine with careful planning of the floor space, and by the Fall of the year I'll be able to devote my time to some new products, including Aftershaves and Colognes ( I know, I know ).

My business continues to grow in ways that I've not anticipated, and I'm forever grateful to God above for these blessings that have continued to rain down upon me......but wow, someone forgot to include the instruction manual for learning how to run a business by the seat of your pants....lol.

We do continue to receive export inquiries although none have come to fruition.....but it's still fun to think about. In considering these possibilities, it's become clear that plans should at least be put down on paper for small scale production with a hands on approach. I've no desire to see TGQ on the shelves at Wal-mart “e-gad” because somehow.......when you grow to a mass produced operation something always seems to get lost in the translation, for both the product and the customer, but Hey!......a small scale production sounds very nice to me.

In case anyone is still wondering when poor Torr will get to return to his owner, the sister site is finished. I've since learned that the proper term for this is a “content management” site.......I've done my homework and it seems easy enough. They are currently doing a few revisions, so it'll still be another week or two.

XXWarm Regards, Colleen
