Default Pyramid method for pastes?

Hi,
I was wondering if a pyramid method would be useful for honing with pastes.
I'm using diamond pastes .5 and .25, but it seems that the resulting edge feels harsher on the skin then CrOxide.
What would happen if a pyramid method, applied with diamond pastes and Crox? Would the resulting edge have a mix of very sharp and in the same time enjoyable feeling on the skin?

The .25 Diamond is a very selective paste, it doesn't work well on all razors...
One of the most used combo's of pastes that works well on almost all razors is the .50 Diamond followed by .50 Cr this is nice, sharp, smooth, feeling combo...
If by chance you have a razor that likes the .25 Diamond there is nothing sharper that I have found "YET"
If you use it though I would recommend stropping the stuffing out of the edge afterward, I follow all pastes with 50 laps on linen and 100 laps on leather......

I always use the 0.25 diamond sparingly for the same reason, Glen. A pyramid approach to pastes sounds like a recipe for cross contamination of the strops and not much benefit.

I think after your post "X", that I better clarify that I am not advocating a pyramid combo on those two pastes, but rather one, then wipe the razor, then the other, then wipe the razor, then the untreated strops.... I know you realize that, but somebody new might misinterpret that post....
