Default Pinaud Clubman Lovers

For those of you who love the traditional old
time scent of Pinaud Clubman AS, I found
that they also make Pinaud Clubman hair gel.
It's about as close as you can get without
actually putting the aftershave in your hair.
Very nice.

Is is a tonic? I saw that they have a couple of hair tonics and always wondered what the heck they are for.

No, it's actually a tub of hair styling gel.

If you have frizzy or poofy hair, the tonics are great. It is a light hold though, not like gel. Just be careful of the ones containing oil, they may leave you greasy. They also add a light scent to your hair.

I'm not a gel fan, but that stuff does smell real nice!

they actually make a tonic too ... and it smells basically just like the aftershave. It's a slightly different colour, so probably slightly different ingredients, but the scent (to me) is the same.

Yep, I discovered the gel several years ago (at a Walgreen's, I think) and have been using it ever since. It's bright green in the tub, but not on your hair fortunately. And besides having (subtly) the scent, it actually works quite well as a gel--keeps my thinning fuzz from waving around like a dandelion seed head, without being stiff or slick-looking.

I also bought mine at Walgreens. Like you said,
it is a good quality gel and the scent is faint. I have
had the hair tonic in my hair and that is as powerful
as the AS.

Default Online Clubman source

By the way, I just discovered an online store devoted to the Clubman line:

http://www.clubmanonline.com/

From the "about" page:

"Clubman Online is the premier online source for the full range of fine products from Pinaud-Clubman as well as other select shaving, personal care and grooming products.

"My name is Jim Bilger. For many years, my brother Dan and I ran Corrado Cutlery in Chicago and, for many years, Corrado Cutlery sold the full line of Pinaud-Clubman products. When I closed Corrado's in 2004, I realized there were very few outlets left that carried a full range of Clubman so I decided to open Clubman Online as a resource for those dedicated Clubman fans who had few avenues left to find their favorite brand of men's toiletries.

"This is a side-line business for me. I have full time work that does not allow me to ship orders or answer email every day. ..."

I remember Corrado Cutlery; I hadn't come to know and appreciate Clubman in those days, though.

I just a bottle of PC AS. It's very nostalgic. Also very potent.
