Old Spice Fresh Lime
What does this stuff smell like? Old Spice with lime? Just lime without the Old Spice? I'm looking for something inexpensive and limey but not necessarily old mannish.

I haven't seen it in thirty years. It was good stuff; I liked it better than regular Old Spice.

I was on the Old Spice site some time back and sent an email to them about it. It is no longer made, unfortunately. I remember my dad wearing it when I was a kid. I liked it.

Hi All,
I know that JoAnna carries both the Lime and Regular Old Spice after shave. This is the stuff that's made in India, with the old original formula being used. Supposed to be just like the fragrance from years ago, but I couldn't tell you from personal experience.
She also handles the two different shave creams offered in those scents as well.
www.theshaveden.com is the place...........then just go to the 'store'.
I think Gio may carry some of those things as well, but I'm not positive.
Hope that helps,
Martin
Oh...... another thing about JoAnna worth mentioning. She's recently started offering a 6 pack of sample creams from lots of vendors. All three 'T's, C&E, Nancy Boy, and even some CF lavender are available to choose from. Hehe, yes, you can even get those Old Spice creams in sample sizes.

Just ordered a bottle, along with some Aqua Velva Original Sport.
We'll see if it's as good as I remember! The stuff I used was very Limey.

Yeah, The Shave Den store is where I saw it. They had 4 bottles and after I read all these posts I went back to see how many were left and there was only 1. So I had to buy it. My apologies if anyone was interested in it. If its too old spicey for me, I'll sell it here.

Received the Old Spice Fresh Lime today, and it just smells like Old Spice to me. Not a hint of lime scent.

OK, I've revised my opinion. I used the Old Spice Fresh Lime after today's shave, and it may be closer to what I remember than I thought at first. Feels great on my face, and I can detect a hint of the lime now. Brings back memories; this is the first AS I used when I began shaving thirty years ago.Back then, it was green colored, in a clear glass bottle similar to the classic milk-glass bottle.

I tried it this morning and it does smell very nice. Unfortunately my girlfriend doesn't like Old Spice or, apparently, any lime variations on it so I may have to sell the bottle I bought.

I have to agree with CStewart. Not very limey. Oh well, we tried to make it work.
I followed up with some TOBS No. 74 Victorian Limes EDt - great stuff! I haven't used it since last summer. Man, what I've been missing!

The TOBS sounds really interesting! I might have to try it sometime.
My wife really loves Old Spice, which I don't have at the moment. I think I'm going to find some of the old, glass OS bottles to use. It'll FEEL more vintage. I'd also like to get one of the OS mugs with the shaving soap still in it.
