Unusual issue with Trumpers skin food
So, I've grown to love using Trumpers limes skin food on after a shave, yet have a newly discovered issue. My girlfriend recently mentioned to me that, and this is no joke, "sometimes, your face tastes funny, when you've shaved." I happened to have the skin food with me, and when we unwisely tasted a miniscule drop, she identified it as the offending taste.
Has anyone else had a similar issue with any aftershave? And does anyone have any suggestions?

Suggestions??? Try not to eat it and I think you'll be okay.
I'd think that all aftershaves and colognes would have a somewhat unpleasant taste, for the record.
Good luck, Danb.

My four year old wouldn't let me kiss her on the face for a while after she planted one on my face and tasted some aftershavebalm. That made me so selfconscious I tend to stick to alcohol/witch hazel after shaves now [which has been facilitated by the fact that I've gotten better at straight razor shaving and don't filet myself like I used to].
So I would say balms/skinfoods are not good in the attracting female attention department.

Cheers to driver/examiner! Three sheets to the wind! YO HO and a bottle of....what?
You remind me of the guy I used to know that would take a sixpack of Nyquil to work!

She solved the problem
Well I have now gone back to using the Skin Food, unfortunately my girlfriend solved the issue for me...by breaking up with me.

I can top that.
Mine broke up with me because I slept on her side of the bed one night.
Hey this could be a thread on its own. "The silliest reasons for breaking up with someone"
Sorry man, just kidding.

Good Morning Gentlemen,
Just because I don't have an Aftershave on the table yet, doesn't mean I'm not paying attention. Now....I found this thread to be quite interesting!
Considering the difference between Aftershave ( for face ) or a light Cologne......for face/body scent and their proper placement would indeed come into foreplay.... ...chuckle...... but I didn't realize that Aftershave would stay on the skin for such a long period of time.
Hmmm......Which must be because most of the men I've known in my life have had beards........and as I write this I've come to the immediate conclusion that there is a hidden psychological reason buried deep within my psyche for my love of straight razors.....
Aftershave taste on skin duly noted!

I have just used Trumper's Lime Skin Food for the first time. I am very impressed with both the product & its scent. Silver likes the smell but declined to try the taste...

Not really being into face licking I decided why bother?! Spike did have a gloriously smooth face after using the skin food though, had me purring like a kitten in no time.
Sorry about the GF Danb I'm sure there are plenty more potentials out there for you.

thanks to everyone.
thanks guys, gals, and anyone else...haha. I appreciate the well wishing, the jokes, and everything in between. The issue was really because Im of the , don't shave until right before going to see a girl, hence aftershave was put on very close to when said face was potentially licked/kissed.
