Default Easy,

No gold wash left. I mean, who wants a Goldedge even if the blade is in that good of a condition with no goldwash. Jeez, some people...

I sent him a message suggesting that not only had the gold worn off, but the ducks as well.

Interesting wear patter. Any thing that shows it is a Dubl Duck just wore right off.

And strangely he has etched 'BEMA' into the blade....

You gotta wonder about some people....

Even though it's not a DD, it looks like a nice Solingen blade. If someone grabs it for $20-$30, it'd still be a good deal.

Has anyone confronted the buyer in an email? Hopefully the one bidder knows what they are doing.

I tried to be as nonconfrontational as possible:

usually the Dubl Ducks have a logo with 2 ducks either on the blade or the scales. I don't see them. Perhaps the razor doesn't match the box?

Well you've heard of the puma duck and the french duck and now here's the bema duck the rarest of them all. When that guy wins it and shows the certificate of authenticity that surely is in the box you'll all be sorry.

Subsequent investigation revealed the razor belonged to Toshiro Kawasaki a WWll Kamakazee pilot who was killed when his plane slammed into the USS Yorktown. His last act was to shave with that razor. It is suspected the razor is haunted.

I was thinking the same. If knowing it's mislabled, someone could get a bargain on a decent razor, and a mint dubl duck coffin.
