Howdy folks

Well I have been trying to get this straight shaving thing down for little over a year, anyhow I found this forum not long ago and found issues with my technique and stropping and such, and I have been taking it easy, reading looking, more often than not resorting to my good ole DE, but the other week I acquired a Gotta, I got it cleaned up and tidied the edge on a fine stone and stropped it, I decided today to try a shave with it.

It was by far the best shave I've had so far, not quite BBS but close, and love the feel of this razor, it may become my standard. I lathered up using C&E sandalwood, shaved away, 2 WTG 1 XTG and I decided to skip the ATG but as I say awesome shave, and I owe a lot of it to the information I have picked up from you folks here, so I thought it right to share...

Thanks folks

Hello, Geek:

Those are sweet words to hear about your shave. Congratulations on your success. Don't worry about the BBS now. Concentrate on skill and technique with all the patience in the world. BBS is just around the corner. Well done, sir.

Obie
