I was just wondering if anyone could tell me about this scuttle. It was given to me by my father, when he heard that I was straight shaving. It appears that there is a fox hunting theme going on with what appears to be a dog on the handle.

Let me know what you guys can and I appreciate the help in advance.

That is quite a beauty, and in neat condition. There is not much I can tell you except that Wedgwood has been one of the world's finest makers of ceramics for 250 years. And they still exist. So the best way to get information on your scuttle seems to be to contact them via their website. They will probably be able to tell you more about material, age and so on. Come to think of it, this one might actually not be that old at all, but that is only a guess.

Thanks I'll email them to find out a little about them. I've already tried to find a similar scuttle on the internet, but had no luck in doing so.
