Default Any experience with Tweezerman badger brush?

I just started straight shaving and have been using a cheap boar brush. I'm looking to upgrade to a cheap badger brush (yeah, I'm a cheap bastard) and saw this $15 brush at Details. That's pretty darn cheap and I'm just curious if there were any opinions here one way or the other. Thanks all!

The Tweezerman is my daily brush and for $15 I and others who use them think they're a super deal for that cost.

A good brush should not "shed" hairs significantly; In all the time I've used this Tweezerman (approx 9 months of daily use), it has literally shed less than 15 hairs and hasn't shed any in about six months. I have a crappy Vulfix pure bristle (my first brush) that basically started to fall apart after not much use.

For a brush on a budget, I highly recommend the Tweezerman. It's made for Henckels and the box boasts of a lifetime guarantee. $15!

Feels like deja vu all over again, but here goes. I used a boar brush for a number of years and had always wondered what the big thing about badger was, I saw the tweezerman and it cost 15$ shipped and I thought why not. If it falls apart after a couple of shaves no great loss. I got my brush and used it. Great value for the money and I wont go back to boar ever. I have had mine for several months and have no regrets, it shed a few hairs initiallly during the first few shaves and then quit. I love that cheap little brush.

Call John at the Shaving Shop. He is making Silvertip Badger brushes at about half the cost of a similar Shavemac!

I agree, we had this convo recently about the Tweezerman. I can not comment on how the Tweezerman stacks up performance wise against more expensive badger brushes since I've only owned the Tweezerman and a pure bristle prior to that. Conversely, I'd say that unless someone has both the Tweezerman AND any more costly brush, they couldn't rightly comment on how the Tweezerman may not be up to the standards of a more costly brush (no one has done that in this post here, I'm just saying.) I vaguely recall in a previous post that someone who was looking for a great brush on a tight budget may have been discouraged from buying a Tweezerman and instead may have been advised on buying a more expensive brush.

Huge difference in the lather up and face feel of the Tweezerman verses my $5 Wal-Mart heirloom special. Try it, you’ll like it. Just don’t make the cheap bastard in you pay $15 for it, get it shipped for $10 here - Tweezerman - Deluxe Shaving Brush For Men

I've had a Tweezerman for about 2 yrs now. It still sheds some, but I really like the way it works other than that. I also have a Plisson pure badger that I like even better, but they're quite a bit more money. I got mine on sale around 20 yrs ago. I picked up the Tweezerman because it was cheap and thought I'd only use it for a travel brush but like it well enough to rotate it with the Plisson.

Default Tweezerman

Go to Badgerandblade. com and look at the brush reviews. There is a write up and some discussion. It is a good cheap brush. It is not as comfortable as one more expensive but it is only $10 conus from Beautyrose.com.
I have one and it is "a good cheap brush." However, I rarely use it in my rotation. I recently picked up a silvertip badger from an ebay sight for $26.00. That brush is great. It was discussed 2l months ago here. This was in early April
