Found My Mug!
I know this isn't much of a brag (for now) but I have found a shaving mug shortly after looking for one! I can be a fussy so and so, I'm not always easy to please as my poor beloved Spike will testify .
Most of them are either BORING or being suffocted in floral patterns or have hunting scenes or boats on them!
I sooo want this mug, have asked Spike if I can order it and it's looking good, hehehe
So here it is, my (soon to be) first aquisition, woohooo!

That is too cool. I went for a novelty mug too.. but it ended up being a child's toy (sigh).. it looked big enough in the pic to hold a cake of soap.

TY Gents. You made a good point with the size though, so have just messaged the seller asking for a size as there wasn't one on the listing. With RAD biting I've had to set myself a limit for this trinket (don't we always!! ).
I've been a Garfield fan for many, many years so this is just perfect. Auction ends on Saturday evening so I'll keep you posted and will post better pic's when I get it.

WOW!!!! way nice I like that one......
I gotta agree, most of the mugs just don't turn my prop either, the last one I saw that I really liked was a Fred Flinstone one but alas it went for stupid $$$

Are you sure that is not a scuttle, Silver? Looks like one. Looks good, too.
Greetings

Ok, it's technically a scuttle, we think ! It is "3 indhes high by 3 inches deep & 61/2 inches across" Like Silver said we'll post pics when (& if) we get it.

Thank you Gents for your enthusiasm. Just checked and I am the only bidder so far, yay!!
I spoke to my Mom last night and Dad doesn't use his scuttle anymore so he's willing to donate it to Spike.
Limit, thats a very good idea and will work if we can find a soap we both like the smell and feel of.
I'm just itching for my blade now. Spike had a parcel from Invisible Edge on Tuesday and I'm banned from even trying to look for it. 7 days seems like such a loooooooong time to wait.

Yeah that looks like a scuttle and a cool one at that. I like the handle, nice design.

If I had seen that I would have been on it - I have been a Garfield fan for a long time as well
Great find!

TY Freebird I love grown up's who retain their sense of humour and have novelty items stashed away somewhere. Always good to know I'm not the only one.

I think a scuttle is a great idea, though I have a tiny bathroom and no place to put one. I have to admit (though I may be in the minority) I've never been a Garfield fan. Now, if anyone comes across a Far Side mug.....

I have a big oversized skull mug that I don't use anymore, not a scuttle I know but it has the same handle. It's yours if you want it as it's been sitting in bubble wrap in a box since we moved in here 8 months ago. I'll dig it out and take a snap of it.

The auction ends Sunday night (22nd at 10:25pm BST) , so far so good as I am still the only bidder.
The only thing I need now is a brush.

goodluck!! I hope you win I highly recommend the Crabtree and Evelyn Best Badger Brush, its fantastic and very affordable compared to most brushes. If money is super tight go for the Surrey / Van Der Hagen boar brush at walmart, its a few bucks and is a decent brush

Do I detect some sort of hint there? I have a new line of brushes and stands on the drawing board. Once you get the mug, give me the base outside diameter, inside diameter, height and the overall width and maybe I can come up with something that will make you smile.
Oh, if amyone snipes this mug from under your nose, let's see if we can find out who they are and where they live. I have some, er aquaintences that can work wonders with a syringe and a small amount of Clorox.
