New Rooney heritage line anyone?

I was eyeing a lot (and i was being seduced) by the new line of Rooney "heritage"
in particular the chubby medium size 24mm by 48 mm loft.
Has anyone tried this brush? how is it? has the qualitty of the brushes improved in this new line? how would you compare it to a shavemac?

I have a few of the Heritage Rooneys. Not the chubby but the Victorian, the Ali Baba, and one of the new natural horn. The hair is as the ads say soft yet resilient. The Heritage brushes are packed very densely. No prickliness to mine like you would find in a Rooney Finest. Some people have posted that they find them so dense that they don't release the lather easily but I have found that they break in and get better in that regard.

I got the Stubby medium shortly after they came out. It's a Simpson Duke 3 on a very heavy dose of steroids. Really dense brush, stiff shafts and the tips are very soft, virtually no prickliness at all. I thought it was the ultimate brush but then I realized I prefer softer, less dense brushes.... Still, when you really want to massage your face, the Stubby would be the one to reach for. The Shavemacs will feel quite soft in comparison, but with more prickliness.

I just ordered a Heritage Alibaba small.

I'll post pics and thoughts after I give it a good going over!

Kind of interesting, as at first I was pondering getting a 28mm Shavemac for the sake of "luxury", then I realized that my 23-24mm current brushes are a bit too broad for my likes (i.e.-nostril and earlobe painters), so a step up in size would be counter-productive (although still tempting...). So I decided to try the Rooney Heritage for its' small knot (20mm) and short loft (44mm).

Thank you guys, yes ...i also prefer less dense brushes, i find they lather better and are easy to handle on the face, so after what i heard from you guys i will passing on the Rooneys, seraphim...dont forget to post a review on your 20mm, i will be waiting for it.

SIB, perhaps you should give a Saville Row a try? They seem to always get good reviews.

I may also get one of those in an 18mm knot a whirl myself....

I didn't think I had SBAD, but perhaps I'm coming down with some symtoms...
