Default New scuttle

I got my pewter scuttle yesterday from classicshaving.com and it really is nice. Seems to hold a lot of hot water and has a nice big bowl for the soap, but sadly, it appears that the spout for the brush is too small to be of any use with a brush that has bloomed unless one wants to have a lot of hair ruined by the edges. I tried twisting the brush as I held the hair tight until it had entered the scuttle, but that didn't seem to be a great solution. I don't think I'll be putting an expensive (read: 40+dollars) brush anywhere near the thing.

I also bought a scuttle from classic shaving but I got the pottery one and while the hole is smaller I am not afraid of any damage to my brush... It's funny because I first wanted the pewter one because it looked so good. It might have been the price though.....

Yeah, I thought about getting that one and then sacrificed a few more dollars to the other one because the hole looked bigger and I thought that would give me more room.
Live and learn, I suppose. It does hold a LOT of hot water (I just got back from shaving and tried it out) and that is good because my wife doesn't like me running so much water at 5:00 in the morning and waking her up every time I turn the faucet on. (Part of that is rinsing the blade.) I told her that perhaps she may need to move to a different bedroom, as 5:00 is "man-time shaving hour". That went over as expected.

Been there said that... Didn't go over very well either, I think she said something about sticking the razor in some oriface... I actually save the scuttle now for when I am going to shave a second time before going out and don't have time to take a second shower, or on weekends when I want to get the water really hot..
