Default Tryphon Sandalwood ( olio di sandalo)

THis is the best shaving soap i have ever tried ( i own the whole line of trumpers, taylors and art of shaving plus some more, creams included).
It is glycerin based.
It is so slick that i stoped using preshaving oils, very gentle on the skin...
There are two things that make this soap exceptional in my opinion.
1- The scent: it is the real sandalwood, this is what sandalwood smells like, and its so adictive i can not help but to open to sniff it every time i am in the bathroom, at the same time is not overpowering so you can layer it with other products and also people is not offended by manly smells ( you will be surprised by how many people in california hate scents...)
2- Lathering capability....: this is THE most versatile lather making machine in the world....depending the amount of water and brush play , you can create from the most thick slick lather to the opossite, there is sooo much room to play with ...its crazy.
Also leaves my skin so nicely nurised that i dont even know if to put aftershave or not....i think i am starting to hate this soap....rutine killer.

THe container ...it comes with its own soap dish that seals perfectly...i take it to the gym..throw it in the drawer, never the soaps leaks or gets damaged .

It can be purchased for as little as $10 bucks with free shipping if you get one of the packages that are being offered in the web site.
The web site is WWW.RAZORANDBRUSH.COM , then you log into shaving store...
The products in this web site are so adictive...its a danger, i thought i was done buying shave gear until i came across this place...the endless quest for the best.
And the service is the best i have ever gotten anywhere, super fast shipping and great personal attention.
Finally a great product that is well priced, well packaged and performs great.
Good job razor and brush
I give you my word you wont be disapointed with this product ..very well worth a try.
Be well.

The soaps look good and I'd like to try them, but he is not very consumer friendly.
I''l take your money (as long as you follow my rules) and ship it but your on your own from there. what ever happened to customer service.

I have his Old American Barbershop (Pinaud Clubman-ish scent) and the Sezie delle Americhe (Old Spice-ish scent) and they are absolutely very very good soaps. The Olio de Sandalo is on my next shopping list with Gio!

I too was a little skeptical about ordering from him. His ordering methods are a tad unusual, but I have ordered from him a few times now with absolutely NO problems and will definitely be ordering from him again.

I am sorry you had a bad experience, the soaps are worth a try, i have placed 5 orders in the past month and a half, varying from $40 to $120 each, i have never had a problem, not only that.... i received the packages within 3-4 business days from the other end of the country....he has also changed my orders last minute (once allready processed) and acomodate my silly requests.
In my opinion that is excellent customer service.

In the other hand i had "issues" with quality of merchandise from what i believe to be the most recognize vendor of shaving products in the usa, after 3 orders with "poblems" i dediced to quit using their services....there is many good people wanting to do business and grow in this industrie and i shall suport them.

The other day a private carrier company left at my door a package that had very important contents(expensive ...not really important) that it was meant to be delivered at a film production company 2 blocks from my house, sadly this drivers at this company , they scan the package once droped so it shows in the system it was properly delivered.....can you f...ing believe that??????it wasnt even the same street!!!!!
so ...i talked to this company ....and ....well....i felt better about my self...same thing happened to my neighbour...he sold a rolex on ebay, used private carrier and the buyer never got the watch....he had the reimburse the money.....

Dear heliguy, in every instance where the shipment was lost by the carrier, I have replaced it at my expense or at least partially refunded the customer. I do that, because I place customer service at the top of my priorities. However, it should be understood that if a foreign Country's Customs agent pilfers or damages the goods, I cannot honestly be expected to pay for that. Once the shipment is in the hands of the carrier, I have no control on its handling. If your postal delivery person is dishonest, I can't pay for that. If you opt for insurance, you are covered, and the cost is minimal. I leave that option up to the customer. 99.9% of all shipments go very smoothly. For those who want to be covered for the remaining .1% I suggest that they choose insured shipping. I charge the exact amount that I am charged by the carrier, with no added handling fees or extra charges.

It is if you are the shipper and ship hundreds of parcels every week! On the other hand, I am not an Insurance Company, so I don't want to add an additional amount to all orders to cover me if and when a shipment gets lost or damaged. The Post Office and UPS do this quite efficiently and, as I said, my customers can choose to have the goods shipped with insurance. I will charge them exactly what I pay the carrier. Now, that, to me, seems a fair deal.
