Default Miklagard shaving soap

Well as bjorn suggested here is the review for the Miklagard shaving soap from Fitjar Soap Factory.

As i recived the package from Fitjar Soap i was very pleased to see it's contents.
Upon unpacking i found myself suprised to see that the Shaving Soap came in an actual Norwegian made white porcelain bowl, with a black acryllic lid. It looks modest clean and has only the Fitjar Soap logo on the bowl, and on the lid.
As far as i can see a beautifully looking container for the soap.
It is hand made from vegetable oils and etheric oils, and contains a little amount of green clay to really make the shave smoother.

Now do keep in mind that i have only used this soap two times and have thus far, only limited experience with it.
I filled the bowl with steaming hot water, and left my Vulfix super badger to soak, while i stropped the knife.
Then i proceeded with emptying the bowl and gave the brush 2 quick shakes in the sink, before starting on the lather.

I was a bit suprised to see how long this actually took the first time, but the 2nd time was quicker.

After a good 30 twirls of the brush the lather really started to grow, and after a little while longer the lather seemed to be ready to go.
It had a really nice feel when i applied it, and the smell was just something else.
It appears to give a quite thick foam and the smell of cedartree and sandaltree gives a really "warm" experience.

I am however surprised to see that before i have finished shaving the lather seem to have dried out in some areas..(altho only in the areas where i have applied very little ) But i fear this has more to do with my skills both in making lather, and my skills with a straight.

I will probably not be swithching the soap in near future, because i really like it so far, and i belive it can only get better with a bit more practice.

As for the feel after the shave, the skin feels pretty smooth, and not dried out at all.
For aftershave treatment, i use either the Miklagard aftershave lotion, or Clinique post shave soother.

I am very happy to say that after only 2 shavees with a straight, i am no longer tormented by the horrific razor burns and zit's i ussed to get.
I can shave every day now, instead of every 3 days(to give my throat a rest so that the razorburns would disappear) And needless to say my GF is extatic about it.

Well, that settles it.... I may not be a "gentle viking" (well... not the gentle part, anyways) but this soap sounds too interesting to pass up on. Thanks for the review.
