Gary,

I had a bit of tingling from the Classic Bay Rum, but find the Lavender tingle neutral and shave excellent.

This has been an issue with classics soaps for a long time now. I have tried several and some are worse than others and some are fine. I would suspect there could be some essential oils in the soaps being the culprit.

It is suspected the razor is haunted.

As I recall the bay rum caused some minor burning and their premium soap bay rum burnt so bad I had to wash it off immediately. On the other hand the unscented was fine and the vanilla was fine also. I don't have sensitive skin either.
