Default WTS: Hone kit and straight shave kit

Well I have decided to sell of most of my straight gear, so I thought I would offer up a couple of kits.

The first would be a hone kit. This kit would be great for a noob or anyone who wants to hone a razor from dull to sharp. It includes,

Norton combination hone 4k/8k, used very lightly
Franz Swaty barber hone used lightly lapped and perfect for touchups
DMT coarse 325 grit diamond hone, perfect for lapping the norton or the swaty, as well as any other hone.
4 sided TM paddle strop. 3.0, 1.0 diamond pasted sides, and .5 chromium oxide. One side of latigo leather for daily stropping. All of the sides of the strop have tons of use left before repasting would be needed.

I am asking for 155 dollars for the set. If you would like to buy items by themselves, send me a pm on what you want and in a few days after people get to look over the lot I will respond by saying the lot has been sold or quote a price plus shipping.

Shaving kit

This would be a great kit for any shaver.

heljestrand 6/8ths framback. It is in good condition with some slight staining that could be polished away. There is a slight chip in the back of the scales but does not affect the function of the razor at all. My all time favorite shaver.

TM latigo Linen strop 2.5 inch, D ring handle. In Great shape.

Old Spice shave mug, The ship Grand Turk desiign. 4.25 inches tall and 2 inches in diameter

Puck of williams shave soap used twice.

Omega boar brush with silver handle.

QED Violletta shave soap. This was a limited buy over at Badger and Blade. About 80%left

I am asking $205 for this kit

Let me know what you are interested in and I will get some pics up tomorrow. I can say that everything is in great shape, with some use. The strop has a few dings in it that have been pumiced and conditioned out. The swaty hone has a chip on the bottom corner and was lapped so that the end(not the end you hone on) is slightly uneven.

If this is the razor that I am thinking of then I think that it is worth mentioning that the scales on that Sweedish Frameback are beautiful genuine ivory with a nice grain; the chip in the back is very minor. Also it is the type of Sweedish Frameback blade that everyone wants because of the amazing shave quality that they provide (especially for those with really course beards). The edge that it takes has the stiffness of a wedge but the razor has the weight of a full hollow. Pictures would probably help sell that one.

I would actually like to buy the complete lot of the honing kit you have. I was looking at buying everything you had listed before I even read this thread, as I'm a noobie, and I have about 4 razors that I need to restore currently, but I really don't have the money to buy all this stuff new.

I doubt it is still available, but if it is, I'm VERY interested.

Okay I have finally got some pics to post of the razor and strop. I know the pics lack quality but I was in a time crunch. If you feel you would like some more let me know.

You can notice the very very small chip on the end of the scale in pic number 4. This does not affect the razor in anyway. It is hardly noticable. THe razor is in great shape. Ask Heavydutysg135 on the forums about this razor if you want, he will tell you it is one of a kind.

I am going to give it a few days until I start parsing out the shaving kit itself. I am pretty sure someone might be interested in the whole lot after they see the pics.

Haha don't put words in my mouth Matt It's not quite one of a kind since I have owned several Engstroms just like it, but they are rare and are absolutely top of the top quality shavers. Especailly for men with really tough beards. Genuine ivory and top quality steel don't usually come easily or cheap. Definately gets my

Okay I probably used the wrong words, but it is a great razor, out of the wade and butcher wedges I have tried I like this one better, it cuts through a tough beard great, and it is easier to handle. Maybe I should have said it is one of a kind in my book. Out of the 12 or so razors that I have shaved with, a TI half hollow, wade and butcher meat chopper, Dovo classic, Le grelot, wapis, a couple no namers, a Henkels Twin works, and others that have come and gone this one got a 10 out of 10 for me in terms of shave quality and ease of use. I like the looks too.

I have touted this razor enough.
