FS: Friodur razors
I have for sale three more Friodurs that I will not be using anytime soon. All three razors are 6/8+, open smoothly, show very little hone wear (if any), have very few scratches (if any), are in excellent condition but are not shave-ready. Sorry for the poor lighting. PM if interested. Thanks.
The first two razors are 250th Anniversary razors from 1981. Henckels told me that only 250 were made and they originally sold for about $250 USD, depending on the conversion from Euros. Don't worry - I have more. There is a floral pattern on the spine and the number 250 stamped on the tang. I priced these a little higher because of their rarity but a little lower because of some flaws... so it balances out.
#1 - $220 shipped CONUS
- 1981 on scales is partially faded
- Small chips at the point
#1 has been SOLD.

#2 - $190 shipped CONUS
From what I can tell, the previous owner used the wrong chemical to clean the razor and it made the decal peel.
- Decal on scales completely faded
- Decal on blade partially faded
- Scales are dirty. I could clean them, if you so desire.
#2 has been SOLD.

These look much better than the 275th anniversary Friodurs!

Wow, that first one is such a good looking razor. I like everything about it. The prominent Henckel logo in red in the centre of the blade, the crisp scales (white scales always convey cleanliness to me and make me think of a baking soda and very cold water, a small hint of sanitary bleach, etc). If a surgeon had a razor, it'd have white scales. Clean.. efficient.
The decoration on the spine is great and the lines on that blade are really cool. Especially that shot looking down the blade from the toe. Sexy curves on that thing.

I would have, but it's all rounded and whatnot. I had wanted a Froidur to try a large hollow blade, but I snagged a reground Butcher that filled that desire.

What else you got? I love the way those Friodurs shave!

i would have taken that #3 but im not ready to deal with chips and all. i dont know much about how bad it is to have a chip and have to deal with removing it etc. it was pretty much what i was looking for though, brand, handle, size, etc.

I don't know the reason for the 5-star ratings but hey, I'll take them!
