Default Experiment

In the past fortnight I've tried four different methods of shaving. I've used a straight, an electric, a twin-blade and a double-edge. The conclusion - nothing beats a straight and I'm now at the stage where I can perform a one-pass straight shave in similar time to the other methods (stropping and clean-up included). By far the worst was the twin-blade. I only resorted to it because I thought it would be quick. It was a waste of time and I'm ditching those blades pronto. The double-edge and electric were more than passable, but don't have the lastability of a straight shave. But I know I'll "resort" to these methods again, probably when I'm travelling. As a luxury, I treated myself to a three-pass straight shave on the Saturday night in the middle of this period and I could almost have gone to work on Monday morning without even touching up. (This is my first post).

Welcome! I agree, straight shaves seem to last longer for some reason...

Wow, congrats on finally posting after a year and a half!

I do agree with your findings. Even in a rush, I still go for my straight. The only time I ever use a DE is when I have to fly, and I hate to fly.
