Yes it is. At the risk of being redundant I will repeat what I just said in a previous post. Taking an ebay special with an edge that looks like that of a hacksaw blade under magnification and honing it to shave ready perfection is one of the most satisfying things I have experienced. Then comes the pleasure of using it.

Yup.

I enjoyed my brief sojourn into DE razors (that lasted about a month before getting a straight). With a DE, you can choose from avariety of pre-made blades.

But shaving with an edge that you, yourself crafted and refined is a whole different ballgame.

Not to mention the razors themselves. I think most guys like knives. I like knives. But I don't have much of an opportunity to use them. With a razor, you have a beautiful blade that you get to actually use for something everyday.
