Hats, let's see em
Ok ladies and Gentlemen,
I have searched the forums and found no reference to hats. I love hats and I'll start this off by sharing one I picked up this weekend. This beauty is a Tress & Co "extra quality" that I picked up for $9 in a vintage shop this weekend, fit is a bit snug but I like it a lot. So show us the tops you place on your shave, well not you ladies (I hope )
Take care and I hope your Labor Day was grand.

Well, I don't have any digital pics of me with a hat on. (Just as well, believe me.) This from Henschel Hats' Web site illustrates my newest hat and one of my favorites.

When I wear a hat it is usually a GI issue boonie hat, there is nothing more comfortable or practical, unless its cold out.

My normal everyday hat is a baseball cap with the patch from my avatar, I also have one similar to rastewart's that I use when out in the desert or doing yard work. I also have a palm cowboy hat, a multitude of other baseball caps and a couple leather crushers.

I've had a Tilley T5 hat for about 8 years. I have no pics of me in the hat. For the Minnesota winters, I wear a Filson Double Mackinaw Cap
it goes well with the Filson Double Mackinaw coat I've had for over 10 years now. I love wool so I guess I wouldn't fare very well living down south.

depending on the situation I wear:
hot = pith helmet (a real one, not that plastic crap)
cold = tweed fedora (actually, more of a trilby)
rainy = cowboy hat, either leather or realtree

But, son, do not accept this bet, because as sure as you stand there, you're going to wind up with an ear full of cider.

Nice fedora Doc!
I also have one. A black Mayser which I picked up in Amsterdam years ago. It doesn't get out much in the summer months. It does keep me warm & dry from September to May. It's September Yay! I can wear it again

That is an awesome hat Doc, but I feel it's missing something ........................
It would look sooooo much better teamed with an extra long scarf!

Thank you kindly Sir! It was a shock to say the least.
As for the scarf, I'm working on it. Had to take a break over school holidays as small person wanted a Dr Who scarf for her favourite teddy bear, and now I'm making a jumper for it too!!

Hats
My one and only dress hat is a Stetson Pork Pie in black. It's the Mickey Spillaine "Mike Hammer" model.
Had it for 12 years. Next hat will be a brown fedora.
Any suggestions on hat brands.

Doc, small person is now demanding a jumper, hat, gloves, trousers & socks for Spike. The teddy bear that is. Her mother, who can not knit, is responsible for the demand escalation Silver is teaching her to knit on this wardrobe, so progress is very slow, as she only stays with us every other weekend. Yours is in production right now & has reached the first large purple block. So it is about 10% done. Silver promises a progress pic in a few days & hopes to have it to you before Hallowe'en
Ok, I know so here is a pic of me in my hat....
