Thanks Basher I'll be needing lots of coffee!
As it's a small person weekend, Spike will stay up long enough to log in and get a ticket then head off to bed. I'll be here for the whole thing, woohoo!

You should get online at 03:00 on 13/7, if you are awake at that hour.

Right, so it's 02:00 on Sunday 13/7/08 for us the UK and Eire then? 03:00 if your in the rest of Western Europe.?? But the magic time is 02:50 UK and Eire. 03:50 France, Germany, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark....
I'm nights tonight(20:38 till 05:00), rest day saturday and in work for 13:00 sunday
I knew there must be some advantage to the crappy hours I work!
I'll be there - as long as the wife doesn't wake
Only thing, whats a webcast?

A webcast is like a live TV broadcast only its on the web.
You work nights? If you don't mind my asking, what do you do?

BTW, it's GMT -5 if you want to update the original post.

David (and any other mods/admin reading)-
You should be aware that anyone using the 'steel blue' skin such as myself does not have the 'webcast' link that other skins have on the top panel (next to the 'chat' link in the 'vision collision' skin I believe)
Just thought you should be aware of this potential problem.

I am such a dedicated SRP fan that not only do I plan on being up for this, I even did a dry run and stayed up til 3am the night before so I would be prepared for the event! Surely thats TRUE dedication!
On the other hand my wife is singularly unimpressed that I mixed up my days and kept her awake late unnecessarily. She is gonna take quite some convincing to do it again tomorrow

Hey guys.. Small hiccup on the webcast.. I'm putting the finishing touches on it.. But I was in a car wreck today, and am a tad sore.. I'm going to go and rest for a bit, and if I can get the rest of it done, I will.. Otherwise we'll do a webcast very shortly!

 OMG Dave are you OK?
Listen prioritize man, your health comes before any webcast. Make sure you are OK yourself. The world wont stop if the webcast doesnt go ahead. You're wellbeing is more important to us than the webcast.
Look after yourself and feel better soon ok?

OK I am actually staying late at work so I can have High Speed Internet and watch the web cast wooooo hoooooo Don't even say it BT and David (hope yer OK Bro) I know I live in a cave in the boonies
Hope to see the old record fall.....
One thing I would like to point out for David and the rest of the admin staff, they didn't pick the time, actually, we the members of SRP picked the time, last year when we were all online at that time, to set the old record..... lets do it again!!!! Tonight.. See ya there..

Hmmm, I'm bad at this but..... I think Australians in the eastern time zone should tune in between 11am and 12pm on 13th July (today). Roughly 5 hours from now, is that right?
James.

I hope I'm doing this right, it's been a while.
I thought the UTC was created with "leap seconds" inserted to closely tract GMT because GMT follows the rotation of the Earth which is not constant. I don't know, perhaps it affects the grit size on belgian corticules - one of which I would like to purchase.
Anyway, from (cough) nice and cool Arizona, I'll try to be here (6:50, 7:50 pm, something like that. We don't use "daylight savings time", which puts us at different times relative to EST at different times of the year.)
