I just bought this razor last week here on SRP. I show before & after pics. I'm quite happy with the results. Although I didn't sand & polish this razor to mirror and did not get all of the staining out, it does look quite better. Understand, my work space is very limited (or at least my space for tools) as we are full-time RV'ers. This doesn't mean that I can't take the time to hand sand ... maybe lazy?
Scales are jatoba. Brass pins & washers.

I really like pinning over the microfasteners.

very nice!.
Not all razors have to be mirror polished, thats entirely up to you. Depending on the blade, sometimes the tarnish and pitting gives it character.
Where did you find the jatoba? I love the look of it.

Hi Bob, Thanks. Yeah, I figured that as long as it's mine... and I was happy with it... . I got some Jatoba, Bubinga, and Imbuya from fellow SRP'er 'fotoguru'. I've been buying other woods, yellowheart, zebrawood, and bacote from Exotic & Domestic Woods - Woodcraft.com

I shaved with this razor last night and other than having to be careful (it is the largest wedge that I've used to shave with), I did get a BBS. I wish I had a way to redo the irregular hone wear but that's probably just my OCD.
