Hair removal in other regions....?
How to start this thread...?
Well I know I am not the only guy here that has the occasional issue, of crap getting stuck to the hairs on ones buttocks, so I want to know if anyone actually has tried hair removal there?
I have seriously given it great thought, but the one thing that puts me off is, I think that the regrowth would be itchy, and I don't want to be walking down the street scratching my butt every 5mins or people might think I have worms.
So I guess the question is, how itchy is regrowth of buttocks hair? Someone must know.

Itchy. As. Hell.
Tried it once when my wife commented on it. I thought she meant it as a complaint. She meant it as an observation. At the time I used a Crap3 to do it. I would never do it again with any razor. But if I was FORCED to do it again I bloody wouldnt use a straight since the shave would be closer and i'd be itching my ass for longer!!
Besides, why do you need to use a straight down there? Who is going to see how smooth your face is? Buddy not even the moon sees those cheeks!!

Starting out with a straight razor is like losing your virginity. You build up the anticipation, want it to be the best in the world and 9 times out of 10 get let down. In time you will learn that practice improves your technique.
And lets face it- in both cases, practice is half the fun

Who said anything about using a straight!? Don't think I could do that by myself, might slip and cut something.

Would you try again, like with a mach500 or a SchickTrillion? Perhaps wax?
Or it was the itch that got you?

I totally understand your problem.
I have tried both shaving and waxing, on my entire body (neck and down), some areas multiple times.
Nothing beats a waxing, when it comes to softness and smoothness during regrow period. Also there comes no stubble and no itching. However waxing on the scrotum is quite painfull and the skin is so thin, that you can get a good "razorburn" afterwards. But it goes away after a couple of days and the softness will last you about a month.
Waxing on the buttox and anal area is a different story. I find this an extremely usefull and not so painfull experience. But you have to find a beauty parlor, that will wax all the way between the cheeks into your anus. Not many cosmetologist do that. On the buttox itself you can shave it to a very descent degree, it does not itch to much. But between the cheeks, shaving is so and so. It itches for a couple of days, however not too bad I think. The worst problem is actually, that when you fart it sounds much louder and wetter, because there is no hear to absorb the sound. So no sneaky farts! But if you can find a cosmetoligist that will wax between you cheeks, you should try it.
Also waxing on the cheeks leaves no stubble and will be much nicer for your girlfriend. A shave - and that thing will feel like sandpaper after a couple of days. Same with the back, and between the cheeks.
My advice - go for a wax. Dont let your girlfriend do it, it is not easy to do when not trained. Get a professional to do it, but make sure that she/he will go all the way into the anal area, or you wont get the effect that you are looking for.

Hope I never ever ever have to deal with hair problems there, I think I might have to kiss the kids goodbye!

I'm not sure they offer waxing between cheeks over here, so I would need to get my wife to do that. I actually would prefer her to do it than anyone else, whether she is experienced or not, mostly coz AFAIK the only person to look at my anus was the army medical officer, when having a medical examination in order to enlist, and even that was rather awkward. Guess the word would be conservative eh?
I really appreciate the input too thanks. So I take it you know exactly what I am talking about, so, it really does help with things? Help you use less toilet paper and maintain a good standard of personal hygene?

You don't find crap sticks to your hair, or your one of these naturally hairless folk?
The reason I contemplate doing this, is sometimes quite a bit sticks to the hair and well, you either need to use a mountain of toilet paper to clean yourself up properly, or have a shower. I find myself at least once a week needing to jump in the shower to get nice and clean again, coz I don't want to back the toilet up. I am really big on personal hygiene.
TMI I know, but well to me this is important. I was suggested earlier to try wet wipes similar to what you use on babies, but the thing is that's kinda pricey, waxing may be the cheaper and most effective solution.

Not that badly, I am not making light of the situation, and I do wish you the best of luck finding a solution.BTW have you considered a small cordless beard/mustache trimmer, might be something you could do yourself w/o any one else knowing or involved. Just happened to glance at my conair trimmer and thought that might be the trick.

Once you start waxing though, where do you stop? Where do you `draw the line'
so to speak?

I was just about to suggest that. In some parts of europe (mainly France) the use a bidét to clean themselves after disembowling.
I had the same problem as you, not feeling all that clean, and often taken a shower after the deed.
So I bought some wet towels for babies. The work really well, I use them after toiletpaper, and they clear out any paper that might be stuck, and generally a much more hygenic after wipe. Wax, shave or not - baby towels still get the job done in a satisfying maner. I would recommend those anytime. Pricey or not, its a great feeling. Try them out.

Does that mean you do both? Wax and use baby wipes?

Baby wipes are good, I used to use them when I was in the military out in the field. But how is a man going to take them everywhere he goes in an urban situation?

I personally dont wax at the moment. But if I had a girlfriend a would defenitly consider doing it again. It works well together, but the baby wipes also workes great without waxing.

From one who has been shaved there before by a DE and one of those dreaded "safety" thingies (shudders), the itch isn't really that bad. The DE was nice but the hair came back too prickly and stiff ( ) and was a bit unbearable for a few days after. Brazilian waxing will take the hair off from the front to the back and in between. It would be better if you had a professional do it. Something about skin possibly separating from the muscle if not done correctly. Something my girlfriends told me about. I am too much of a wimp to try it myself. You could also consider laser hair removal and even tho it is wayyyy pricey, once done you should never have to worry about it again.
Good luck!

I watched a surgeon shave someone's butt with a scapel once, before cutting out an abscess.
Stick with the itch is my advice..........!!!
