While I think the expanded membership is great, it does make me a little curious about how active the members are (total posts, PPD, etc). I've gotta say, I think it's great that so members are involved in communities within the forums, and there are clearly a number of friendships that have formed as well. I hope we are able expand in these two areas as the member list grows.

I think this news is great!!!!! The information offered here is above and beyond anything anyone could hope for. I KNOW ,without any doubts, the folks here are FULLY responsible for helping me get to where I now am in the world of straights. The people here are awesome and willing to lend of themselves. That we are about to reach that number of members only speaks of the work that is done here (much of it behind the scenes and un-glorified). THANKS TO ALL THAT MAKE IT HAPPEN HERE!!!

That is a pretty good number. Is there a way to tell how many are active regularly here though? I often wondered how many peoples avatars it is possible to recognise.

Well, there could be a number of ways to do that
- Nr of times a user has logged on per month;
- Time spent on each visit;
- Nr of posts a user has published per month;
- And so on...
Although, the nr. of posts is not a clear sign of a user activity. I read a lot of posts, but I reply just to a few.

Sorry, not a spammer...just signed up after 3 weeks of lurking to hopefully quell my itchy trigger finger for a first straight razor, probably from the classifieds...
Thanks for the welcome thus far and thank you to all members for graciously bestowing this forum with such a massive amount of wisdom and comradeship.

Welcome Matthew,
If you're going to buy a straight razor, do it here at the Classifieds. You'll get a much better razor for a fair price compared to eBay's.
Have fun
