Wow. I just redid my googlemap entry, and apparently I live about 200 ft. from you. Small world!

Jim, any one of your groups want to be nice enough to help reserve a room?

I'll check, I happen to be going tonight . Won't be the most tenuous connection I've heard of.
edit to add:
It turns out you can rent rooms in the Brookline libraries for about $50 for four hours. I haven't looked into schools yet, the town web site doesn't seem to list that. How loud are dremels?

Reason: add library room.

At full speed? Very loud. Think dentist drill.

How about Boston Public Library? And aren't the rooms soundproof anyways?

Count me in!
I'd love to join in. Trying to think of other cheap options. Anyone out there tied to a public school or church? Or possibly a VFW or the like? I guess a lot depends on how many of us there are and what we want to do in the time we have.

It has been suggested, but someone needs to just grab the bull by the horns!
Not it!
The best time seems to be the week(end) of St. Paddy's day (But NOT on St. Paddy's day).....
From a quick guesstimate it looks to be about 9ish of us......
SO, who's going to be our hero and get a spot for the gathering?!

Hell, I'll do it for sure, but I doubt anyone would like that... I'd pick a place closer to Providence than Boston! At least it would be better for me. So...

Anyone?
Ok, is anyone still interested in this? Otherwise maybe Lynn should save the Sticky space...
If so but no one will take the reigns, I will easily find us a place cheaply... but in Rhode Island. Any comments on this whatsoever??? Even if only 5 guys are into this idea I can do it- just let me know...

I have no problem coming to Rhode Island.
Of course I'll be coming from Worcester, so I
don't know what those from the Boston
area will think about it.

I live in Boston and I think that for an event like this I would do a trip to Rhode Island, assuming I'm available and whatnot. It's not like it's an every day thing.

Ok, so if I can get a few more guys interested here, I will start collecting names and contact info so I can individually ask about dates. Anyone else?

I'd be interested; maybe King and I can carpool. I've also got in the back of my mind to check a few other places around me.

Carpooling is a distinct option, someone to help me stay awake on the way home (assuming this doesn't end at 3:00 :P) would be welcome. I assume you're not some creepy serial killer, right? I mean, there's no way a creepy serial killer would hang out on a straight razor message board, right? Right?

That's kind of like asking someone when you're
about to do something illegal "You're not a
cop are you?"

Ok, so far that is 3 guys besides me. I also know a guy close to me who is a member here who would definitely come. That's 5. Anymore? It would definitely be a weekend I'm guessing because of the driving distance for some. I just want to make sure this would be worth it if I am going to personally make it happen. C'mon, what happened to all the others?

SORRY, yea, sure... I'm in!
As mentioned by others....if I am free that weekend
SO, let's settle on a approx. date, and work form there?
Perhaps we should just make it a "New England" get together, so if it happens next year we are not tied to any one state!
AH, who cares
Let's just get this thing set up!
