Saturday Evening at the Hill n' Dale
Saturday evening was held at the main house at the Hill n' Dale club. We ate the greatest steak you can imagine. It was probably 1 1/2 inches thick.
Chris displayed his talents in honing and polishing razor blades with several watching and asking questions.
Tim Zowada discussed his talents in making razors and knives plus honing some razors. He also showed us what an edge looks like on the microscope.
Lynn also displayed his honing skills to several and explained what he was doing to an onlooking crowd.
Josh amazed us with his blade making talent and his honing skills. He also had onlookers.
There was a beautiful display of hones, razors, strops and brushes.
After dinner Don and Lynn drew tickets for the door prizes that were given out by Will from Classic Shaving, Tim Ayars from Vintage Blades, Colleen from The Gentlemens Quarter, Keith DeGrau from Hand American, Mama Bear from Bear Haven, and Sue from St. Charles Charles Shave. I believe that there were around $4000 worth of prizes given out. WOW!! a big hand for the vendors.
