Default SE Gathering PICTURES...

Here is just a taste of some of the 270 pictures that I took. I will balance and crop them in the next few days and will post a link to where they will be available for download. The list of things from this weekend in no particular order:

1- Oldblades has a HUGE collection and it couldn't belong to a nicer more generous person.
2- Coully is funnier than you can imagine and you should call him.
3- RonnieNC has a some BIG choppers (one less now though! Thanks again for the trade man!)
4- It is the coolest thing in the world to watch someone shave right for the first time! CJBianco WILL NOT be selling his straight shaving gear after all!
5- If everyone in the world treated each other like this group of guys did this weekend, it would be a perfect place. I have never seen so many different folks IMMEDIATELY have such respect for and fun with each other.

6- I TOTALLY understand custom razors now. Joe Chandler must have sold his soul to the devil to work metal and wood like I saw. Joel is a complete idiot, Maestro Livi will be my firstborn's God father. Robert William's razors are awe inspiring in their simplicity. L.R. Harner took my preconceived notion of what a straight razor looks like and turned it on it's head in the most impressive display of originality.

Don't tease us!!! Even the nicest straight shavers can turn ugly when provoked.

BTW, who is this Joel you speak of?

My condolences about "getting" the Customs....it's a slippery slope.

Maybe you could just embed the URL from your photo hosting site in a post. That has worked in the past.

One of these days in your travels, a guy is going to show you a brand-new deck of cards on which the seal is not yet broken. Then this guy is going to offer to bet you that he can make the jack of spades jump out of this brand-new deck of cards and squirt cider in your ear. But, son, do not accept this bet, because as sure as you stand there, you're going to wind up with an ear full of cider.

I wish I could have been there. I wanted to come (from Fayetteville, NC), but the Army wanted me to draw blood from a group of trainees at Ft. Lee this weekend. Hopefully next time.

In the sixth picture...who's that next to CJBianco?

Congrats to everyone who put this together and to everyone that attended. Looks like a great time. Can't wait to see more pics.

Thanks for posting the pics! I really wanted to go to this event. Had made plans and reservations and everything. Life and work got in the way! But, next time!!! Looking forward to the second annual Asheville gathering.

Had a helluva good time. Great demo's lynn and glen, gift bags were awesome doc and byron. Sicboater and the light box took some beautiful pictures can't wait to see the rest not to mention thanks for the bay rum soap (haven't used yet, will soon). Simon thanks for the inexpensive brush. David, the razor, awesome, can't thank you enough. Glenn, uber lather, won't be shaving any other way in the foreseeable future. Chris, can't remember your handle so let me know how to contact you. I'm sure I gleaned more information from everyone else but I don't know that I have the memory to thank everyone properly. Sorry I missed the BBQ on Sunday. Sleep superseded my ability to go. Don't think that I've had my face that smooth from a shave in...well ever I suppose. One last thanks to everyone especially Doc for putting this all together. I think I'll have some converts among my friends for next years get together.
