interested in holding a gathering?
Hola Gents!!!
If you are interested in holding a gathering please feel free to drop me a pm and we here at SRP will try to help you promote it any way we can. We will insure its listed in the callendar maybe do a front page story on it. David and I have decided to pitch in and try to be of service to any of you guys who want to put one of these things together.
Also we are looking for volunteers to start committees in the different geographic areas to plan and promote gathering in you areas. This might include planing and promoting, suggesting locations, hcontacting local media, and helping to design functions at the gatherings. This is something we are just starting to look into and hope it might grow into a great resource for the area gatherings.

One of these days in your travels, a guy is going to show you a brand-new deck of cards on which the seal is not yet broken. Then this guy is going to offer to bet you that he can make the jack of spades jump out of this brand-new deck of cards and squirt cider in your ear. But, son, do not accept this bet, because as sure as you stand there, you're going to wind up with an ear full of cider.

Well is is almost the end of June and I still have done nothing to organize this! Guess I have to get started for a fall get together in the Minneapolis/ St. Paul area.
ChrisL, you still want to participate in organizing this?

Doc, I'll sign up for whatever committee we have/may soon have in the Northeast states. I'm in RI but last time our get-together was in MA. If my geographic area changes, I'll let you know.

Sorry, I'm not taking on any more "projects". That means no scales, restoration, honing, you name it. Look for my custom razors in the future though!

So who's planning the International Straight Razor Conference? Or, for wider appeal, maybe it should be a more general shaving conference, with booths by Dovo, Gillete, etc

I'll volunteer to support the mid-Atlantic area. I live in the Northern Virginia region -- actually about 18 miles outside of Washington, D.C. There are lots of opportunities for sight-seeing and other activities in this area.

Anyone in the Bay Area that wants to meet up keep me in the loop. I can help with arranging location, and even hosting.

I would be interested... but I don't know if there is any sense to make a gathering for only one member in Switzerland...
But maybe if there is going to be free stuff more people will come out

There are at least three members in Italy who are not that far from Switzerland, maybe it could work.
