Greater Nth West Meet Up !!!
I am seeing more and more members up here in the Pacific Nth West and The Inland Empire....
I am wondering if there would be any interest in putting together a meet up, I could do most of the planning etc: but I am wondering how many would be interested in coming....
I actually live in Sandpoint ID (Google that) a resort town that is close enough for people from the WA, OR, MT, ID and even parts of Canada to attend....
If you would be interested in attending please post here, and let me know...
I was thinking either Spring or next Fall for the timing and a Fri, Sat, Sun event......
The nearest airport would be Spokane which is a 1 hour drive.... and for our Canadian members I am just Sth of Creston BC..

Interested? ABSOLUTELY! Available? Aye, there's the rub. Truthfully, I suspect somewhere like Portland would be better for most on the west coast. (what happened to the Google Map?)

I would tend to agree that Seattle, Portland, or even Spokane might be a better city to use, BUT, I don't have the connections in those cities that I do in Sandpoint.... Naturally I can just make a few phone calls and set things up in this town...Also we could in a pinch use my place for a picnic / shooting day and get together... Also the access to one of the largest freshwater lakes west of the Mississippi and the Mountains is a huge plus...

I would prefer Seattle or Portland as they are closer to me, but given enough notice, I can schedule the days off and make a nice drive, maybe some fishing too. I Haven't been to Idaho since I was a kid.

Anyone that can help with that please feel free to PM me.....

PDX works for me depending on dates. I got my in-laws up there. I can ping on them for some ideas of locations.

This was a major hope of mine in suggesting Portland was that it might draw in some from Northern California. I've got family there too so that would make it a convenient and enjoyable weekend for either myself only or even the family too.

Count me in! I know Zepplin expressed interest as well (I'll PM him so he can reply as well). Portland would be good but I would love to get up to the Couer d'Alene area. I'm a recent transplant from Michigan. Portland, hmmm, good Pinot Noir about a half hour south!

Since I've been here in Idaho, I've been wanting to visit Sandpoint. - but, Portland would work, too.

If we want bbq weather and have it pdx, we'll have to wait until June for decent weather
Does anyone live in the greater Portland/seattle area and have a place big enough to host something like this? I'm a city boy and live downtown with a whopping 720 sqft to my name, but I do have a balcony for bbq , but the parking is rough so I think my place is out.
If that doesn't work, I think we should all make the trip to the shaving mecca that is sandpoint and see the glorious shaving workshop of Glen's, prefrerably after the snow has melted.

I agree about the good weather in PDX, but that just means we'd need to do two meets <g>
I'm all for Sandpoint BTW.
