Well Pearl, us men do stoopid stoopid things sometimes (not that I think this is one of those occasions - I'm just saying, that's all). I think in this instance Buckler is so immensely proud of your achievements that he wanted to share.
So really, you can't blame a guy for being proud of his wife, can you?
Anyway, keep up the good work - certainly didn't take either of you long to get the hang of things.
James.

I agree with Jimbo. Pearl he's just proud of you, my wife looked at those pics and went "uh uh no way" she says she'll stick to the DE.
Congratulations and good luck with the rest of your shaves, may they all be smooth and nick free

you shut up Jimbo and Cactus Bob! Don't defend the boy!!
He's done wrong by me and now he will pay!! He will sell those two knives he has just honed and will buy me a new Frank Warner damascus birdwing Razor instead of that honing set he's been dreaming of!!
That is the ONLY way he will make it up to me!! (The double exclamation marks show how much I mean all of this
Hmm and may that teach all you sneaky boys not to post pics of your wifey shaving without her permission, the stakes are high, you must be willing to pay the price if you take the chance!! You will loose one or two of your precious knives if you don't behave!!
hmm

Pics deleted because they were posted without permission and Pearl didn't want them to remain public.

Well, I could certainly never argue against two exclamation points.

Well its official... im in big trouble.
I guess i really should have checked with her befor putting them up.
But i still poke my tounge at all you other guys cause i have a cool wifey who straight shaves, what a ledgend!
I guess after the two razors i recently aquired come back to me (im loaning them to my brothers to get them into straights) they have to be sold to pay for the 'bird wing'.
O well thats the price you pay for being proud (It was worth it... mabey?)
Im also cooking dinner tonight and serving my wifes every need on hand and knee.
Thanks for the defence guys, by the way she had a smile on her face when she wrote back to you Jimbo.
Signing off, hopefully not for the last time

I thank Bruno for removing the pics not because they werent impressive (they were Pearl you should be proud of your work!) but because they were posted without consent. So thank you Bruno for upholding the ladies honour.
Buckler you should know better. But you are very lucky to have such a skilled lady.

I think it's only fair that Buckler now recreates those pics by shaving his legs for the camera. I'm sure you wouldn't mind playing photographer, Pearl.

I cant believe she is actually throwing such a fit as this over acouple of harmless pics, from what I read its simply a shameless attempt at blackmail, but if it gets you a Frank Warner, why not. If I were buckler I would sell all I could and buy the Frank Warner and keep it to myself, let her suffer. Sir(Buckler) stand your ground and rule the roost! BTW: you shouldve made a vid!

Out of interest.... when I used a Crap3 I could always tell when my wife had sneaked a use out of it because the razor would be blunt. Is the same true of a straight? Does it require honing more often if it is used on leg/armpit hair?
A personal question maybe but nobody is forcing anyone to answer. Its more of a ponderance....

Considering that leg and arm hairs are a lot softer than chin hairs, I think the razor would last longer. Only bad technique in either shaving or stropping would cause it to be blunt.

Last longer than a Crap3? Or last longer than the same straight razor would on chin hair?

No i don't think ill shave my legs; i recently shaved my head (my mate has cancer) and and i had to push to keep shaving my face (the Mrs likes facial hair but said since i shaved my head i shouldn't shave my face), soooo if i lose any more hair who knows what will happen???

The 'Frank Warner' is a bird wing. Its a small blade (theoretically ideal for arm pits etc, she likes the razors small) so i dont know if it will suit me so i think ill have to let her have it.

Im not the expert so perhaps a lady can hit this one. But in regards the the shave at hand i mixed the lather and was going to strop after completion of the first leg. We forgot to and she said it shaved smooth the whole time. So im not sure.

p.s. someone needs to teach me how to 'quote'

If I remember correctly, Frank does custom work to YOUR specifications, not hers.

same straight razor obviously. I don't know how a mach3 would do.
when my sister used my mach3 when I lived at home, I'd know because it was full of hair.

I thought this was ladies corner, it feels hijacked!
and not only that also I cannot belive that not even one lady has stuck up for or sympathised with me
oh well I guess I must be a psycho who throws a massive hissyfit over nothing
"quote: I cant believe she is actually throwing such a fit as this over acouple of harmless pics, from what I read its simply a shameless attempt at blackmail, but if it gets you a Frank Warner, why not. "
I'll just have to go and shave my legs again, then I'll feel better
And hopefully I'll get some sympathy from the gals later

At the bottom of each message there are four buttons. The first two are Quote and Multi-Quote. If you want to quote one message, just click "quote". If you want to quote more than one message, toggle multi-quote on for all the messages you want to quote except the last one, for which you will use Quote.
