When my razor started tugging I really needed to invest in something to touch up the edge but did not want to wait on mail as I currently have only 1 razor in service. I found out ClassicShaving.com has an actual store in Palm Springs, CA. located in the back of a mens' clothing store, so I decided to drive down and take a look.
Not knowing what to expect I was still pleasantly surprised. The store has a very classy style to it and plenty of nice shiny things to look at. They don't have everything in the store that you see in the online store but they have more than enough. Straights, DEs, and plenty of shaving accessories to catch your eye. I finally got to see some Mastro Livi SRs up close cause they had some of them under the counter there.
Everything I priced online was the same price when I got to the store (some shops charge a little more at the physical store in my experience). So I found it rather nice that I could shop at the online store, call to make sure they had the items I wanted in store, then simply go buy it.
The girl working the counter, Jennifer I believe it was, is an absolute doll. Very nice and patient while I asked her to pull multiple items out while I made my decision on the item I wanted. She was also more than willing to pull out any item that piqued my interest to show me as if she was showing off her own personal collection. Maybe that was just good salesmanship (err, saleswomanship) but she didn't have that "pushy sales person" attitude in the least.
I have to say the whole experience made for a relaxing Sunday afternoon and was well worth driving a couple hours to check out. I'll definitely go back the next weekend I feel like going for a drive.
