Welcome to SRP, seems like a great project in the making, advice around here is free to all.... However getting somebody to send samples probably might prove to be not very easy.......

Go to the Classifieds and buy some of the restored vintage razors there, tons of "samples" to choose from. Also strops, hones, strop paste et al.

Be sure to cover such topics as "compulsive strop addicts" (scene of me stropping my razors at all hours of the day/night) , "maniacal lathering maestros" (that's be Glen), and "Psychotic honing wierdoes" (check the advanced honing forum for a lineup of the usual suspects...).

The philosophy of the "Male Habit" is quite a project-are you sure you bought enough film?Seriously, I think you'll find a wealth of information here-in fact, since I've been lurking about and finally joining I have not found a question that I haven't been able to find an answer to.
