Default Dry Lather Follow-up

Glad to report that after taking a few suggestions on my last question post that I've finally gone through a shave without having to deal with the lather drying up - albeit with a re-apply. For any other people new to shaving here are a few suggestions to try with lather:

If you aren't happy with the experience of a lather, experiment with different methods. Lather directly on your face, in a bowl, scuttle etc...

Keep everything warm. It's a much better feeling on your face. Even keeping hot water in the mug (if you choose that route) before working the lather seems to make a huge difference.

If your lather seems to dry out (like it did for me) don't be afraid to re-apply half-way through or whenever you start to feel the blade sticking.

Try different levels of water when working it up. What you are comfortable with will vary from person to person and skin to skin.

Hope that helps anyone else out and thanks for the feedback from before. My shaving experience is much improved!

Same issue here when I was first starting... my solution was to divvy up my face into five separate parts: left cheek, right cheek, left neck, right neck, chin+upperlip area. I would lather a section, then shave, then lather, then shave... etc.... YMMV
