Default man... I love it!

Just finished my 4th shave and I gotta say I love straight shaving
I've already developed a fancy for smaller blades (5/8 and 4/8). The 6/8 is too big for me. Maybe the fact that I shave every day has something to do with it.
In these 4 days, I gotta say, my stropping sky rocketed! I think I am doing a really good job. In the first 10 min i nicked if 3-4 times

And to mention one thing that I discovered that works for me- I do a WTG and ATG in one lathering. So, I could have a reeeeeealy close shave in just one lathering.
But I must admit, it will take some time getting used to the transition from a DE. Mostly cause I can double back and do the spot once over without relathering, and the fact I can shave half my face without rinsing the lather off the blade (versus 10ish times with the clogged DE).

Great! You're off to a great start. As you get more shaves under your belt you will find that your methods will evolve. You're preference in blade sizes may also. Keep us posted as to your progress and findings.

One more thing.

I can do everything I want with a round point and I will not buy a spike... ever. Never ever. I can just see it diging in all the crevices on my neck. So, always a rounded point (it can be a rounded square).

Aw, where's the fun in that? Gotta be a risk taker

Can you elaborate on this?
I don't understand.
My first pass WTG scoops off all the lather. I don't see how I could do a second pass ATG on a dry face. Could you describe your method a bit more?

Thanks,
Bart.

Sry, I meant XTG. ATG would be-

One more plus- as the shaves are so close, I can shave before sleep, sleep in in the morning (I'm an evening person) and be clean shaven in the morning (well, better shaven than the morning mach3 shavers).

So, actually, I'm gaining time with straights
