I know how to prepare myself for great shaving, shower+hot towel+preshave oil and shaving cream (all from art of shaving). The problem is that when i start shaving with my straight razor it kinda drags the hair instead of cutting it smoothly, basicly my razor gets stuck constantly. This is a huge problem!

Dino, technique may be in play here too. If you have not already done so, I highly recommend Lynn's CD. You already have the stuff, so it might be hard to put it down for a few days. Look at it this way, what's a few more days of waiting? It's a good investment in learning the basics. That way you will have a better idea of what is truly wrong. Too great of a blade angle will cause the same problems as not having the proper edge.
