Clan of the Dancing Twins
Since users are posting to The Boker Brotherhood and The Butcher Shop I thought that I would start The Clan of the Dancing Twins.
Here is a recent find at a local antiques shop. Of course, the razor wasn't in this good of shape. I spent about an hour with MAAS and a rag, as well as, an application of dental floss in those tight places. (Everyone has seen dirty razors, so I won't waste your time with those photos.)
Notice that that it came with the original box, and I can almost make out the original owner's name handwritten on the label on the back.
I am happy with this find.
Bob

very nice...
I love my Henckels
The one on the left is an 8/8 high carbon, and is my #1 shaver hands down...
on the right is a 7/8 froidur spanish point in Kudu scales, and is also an excellent shaver.
I'll step out on a limb and say I've yet to find a razor better than a Henckels.

OK, here's two real quick....my 7/8 Friodur I bought from drfred and my rescaled spike. This blade needed scales and I had a Fily with a broken blade....so this became my first rescale project. I call her my Henkelmonica....lol....I'll probably put some customs on her once I get some more made.

My humble submission to the Clan
This is my 11/16 Friodur not fancy but she sure can cut.... When Solingen blades are done right they really are done right....Smooth, sharp and easy to hone what more can you ask for!!!!!!

I found the twin to my razor (see first post). It is another number 18. Unfortunately, someone neutered the spike.

Different coffin also.

I am waiting as patiently as possible for this in the mail: http://picasaweb.google.com/aukani/Henckels
I know it's not pretty, but it's going to be my first shave (rumor has she's a great shaver), so I humbly submit my application to the Clan. Plus, I have an actual twin brother, which I hope the committee keeps in consideration. :P

*drool*
That is quite literally the most beautiful razor I've seen. I've seen some of the more ornate customs, but I tend to have simple tastes. The gentle swirling in the light wood. The tiny stone(?) spacer. Very cool logo on the blade as well. I'd love to see the same thing with a barber's notch, sometimes I prefer that sometimes not. Simply gorgeous nonetheless. I'm crazy jealous.

I'd never seen a Henckels with that type of etching before. Any Henckels is hard to resist, but ad the etching, and I might as well set the proxy bid for 'just win it'.
The scale material and design is all the artistic work of Joe Chandler.

I was a little disapointed with the rounded blade and I wondered if it was originally a spike (which I actually wanted) based on the limited pics. Hopefully someone who knew what they were doing rounded the spike rather than just filed it.
I'll post some pics once I get her and cleaned up a bit!
