My first offering here is a recent e-bite steal... ~$10.50 just a few weeks ago... she aint big but she is sweet.
as you can see there is still some staining on the toe but not anyplace critical.

This probably isn't the "lion" that you're referring to, but I'll include this one here anyway. It's a Lion Freres Thielt, a hair over 7/8. One of my many ebay scores (mistakes?). The seller neglected to mention the significant warping of the blade . And, as with all my straights, it is a before picture (presuming I'll get to the after).

Here's the other side of the tang. It is at least an interesting razor.

In that case it was pretty cheap. Seriously though, if any of you were outbid on this razor you should be able to find comfort in the fact that I will never be able to hone this curved blade.
Takin one for the team, Sand

Garry that is a nice tiger... but you are going to lose a lot of the gold when you restore it.

Yeah , a lot of the wash is off .. I'm in two minds whether to try and take the little black pits out or just leave them . I've had the razor for about 2yrs in the 'to do' box . It honed up nice last night but I had to tape the spine , theres a lot of hone wear near the toe .. I might just give the scales a good clean and see what a few polishes with 'peek ' ( uk version of Maas ) does to the metal ..
Kees .. I think they're made by the same company , it was the resemblance that caught my eye last Saturday night , especially with some of the pums which say 'best puma steel '

Nice snake but that would be better in a menagerie. I had thought about setting one up as a place to put the dancing bears, deer and what i think is a bee... feel free to make such a room!
