After poking around on the net for a bit I found this site
http://www.kindalknives.com
I don't know French but it looks like it is a knife company started by a Swede in 1898.
Someone that understands French maybe could go to the site and get the proper info.
I couldn't browse the site but it looks like the company is still operating.

edit: Looks like they did some fancy boxes

come on gentlemen step right up, step right up. A troubling situation has arrived in the razor club and that is the use of thumbnail pictures. I know that some of you old timers still remember when the razor clubs were a thing of beauty! with large glossy pictures of razors and we viewed until our hearts content. but those days are through it would seem. I beseech all the members of the razor clubs to take the poll in the general section and vote to restore large pictures to our beloved razor clubs. It is up to us gent and together we can restore these clubs to there former glory!!!!!!

Then this guy is going to offer to bet you that he can make the jack of spades jump out of this brand-new deck of cards and squirt cider in your ear. But, son, do not accept this bet, because as sure as you stand there, you're going to wind up with an ear full of cider.

Hello!

As some of you may have noticed, I was lucky enough to get a pair of Heljestrand no31 with ivory scales in a leather case, and in very good shape at that.....except for one of the razors who had a rather big bit missing in the blade....

Well, i did come by another Helje 31, with quite nice blade, but a little more yellowish ivory scales.
So, since I wanted to clean the blade I dicided to rescale it with the scales from the broken blade, just for the pleasure of having a pair with the same color..

Now, after a slight refurbishing (leather balm on case, some polishing of blades, rescaling one) I am pleased to join the Swedish steel!!

I have not tried them yet, I'm still in the learning of honing and do not want to risk them, so, until my honing skills is better, they have to wait for their chance to prove their worth!!

Best regards

Clas

Hjärtligt välkommen till Svenskt Stål / Very welcome to Swedish Steel

That is a nice pair you have. I have a similar set that I haven't had time to clean yet.
There are so many nice razors still out there to be found and cared for.

Hello gents.

I'm about to join the club. This morning I went "hunting" in a flea market and grabbed my first Swedish razor- -an Helj #31 with some rust. I de-scaled the razor and began to take care of her. When I'm done, I'll show it.
I noticed that some of you have this model, the M K 31, but mine is dressed in black, yours are either with white scales or tortoise scales. That's strange because the razor seems original... .
Also, what size is your #31 razors? Mine is near 5/8 and a tad short in length comparing to my other razors.

I landed a C.V heljestrand no 2 today.
Will try and clean it up and take a picture of it.

Anyone know when these where produced? How old it might be?

Here are 2 pictures.
One before and one after.

I havent managed to get it completley clean, but I am not sure if that is even possible.
I sharpend it today and I will soon try it for shaving.

It say Eskilstunaboden Trollhättan on the blade.

Trollhättan is a town where the car SAAB is build and its a 40 minutes drive from where I live.
Thats I i picked up this razor, thought it was fun.

So what do you think I can do with this to get it look better?

Mera svenskt stål!

It is marked "D.W Dahlgren Eskilstuna Sweden" I think is a wedge,or pretty close..
Don't know what the scales are made of...Tips anyone?
I will polish her up and try to make her shave ready, might have to repinn her, she's a bit "wobbly" in the pivot pin..

Looks good Woork.
About my Eskilstuna boden razor I talked to my dad who lived in trollhättan as a small kid and have good knowlege from that place. It seems as eskilstunaboden was a hardwareshop. Or whatever its called where you can buy stuff like axes, shovels and other stuff.

Inte så mycket stål men ändå..=)

Just got a tiny SSA eskilstuna razor!
The blade is only 1 cm, should make it a 3/8, in the pic beside a 6/8..

Some type of bone would be my guess with the scales.
