Default Svenskt stål/Swedish steel

With the other clans and brotherhoods I thought we could have a display of some Swedish Steel, too.
I'll start with my old trustworthy Jernbolaget, Eskilstuna Sweden.

I'd like to get some of that Baltic curly birch myself, for a custom or two. Really nice wood.

Anyone ever wonder why all the other razor makers bought their steel from the Swedes?

Simple rule of business... buy the best materials at the lowest price... lots of people made great steel you just took the lowest price.

Default C.V Heljstrand No4

This is my swede, a Heljestrand No4, haven't shaved with it yet, but I'll guess it'll be nice!

Sorry about the bad pic, I have to learn to take pictures soon!

In translation it is "Reg. trademark".
Inregistreradt is spelt in the way that was used before the spelling reform in 1906.

That is a nice one. Did you do the rescaling? What are the pins made of?

Thanks, the pins are brass screws and nuts as described here: As requested... Adjustable Pins!
this was my first attempt at making scales, I've got this razor as part of a seven day set, but it had a broken scale, so I decide to try to rescale it. It turned out rather nice, and I learned a lot during the process.

BTW it shaves very nice too!

Two of my Heljestrands, a MK No. 2 and No.31, and an Erik Anton Berg. As for the Heljestrand numbers, it wouldn't surprise me if they went from 1 (or 2) up to at least 32. I have 2, 31 and 32 myself.

Default My Engstrom

This is the Johan Engstrom I bought from Philadelph around 2 weeks ago. This is the 6th or 7th razor I have ever bought, so I don't have a ton of experience with different razors, but this one is by far my favorite. I am going to be buying more of these if I can find them!
