I've started a new group, gentlemen: The Wade & Butcher Wag-Blades. this is a public group so anybody can join. All you need is a love for Wade & Butchers. Show 'em off and talk 'em up, whichever it is, you're wagging your blades. Don't forget to click the link above and sign up.

As a start I'll show my daily shaver: Here is my 13/16 W&B circa the 1850's. Bill Ellis restored and rescaled the blade which I landed off eBay for $20. The desert ironwood has lost some of its glisten, but the wood is still beautiful and the steel is absolutely kickin'! This blade taught me that a spike is a good thing and that smiling blades are best for tight corners. This is my 'go to' razor which sees more action than all my others combined because it just keeps on performing exquisitely.

This is my only working W&B... and it won't be mine for too much longer.


I've also got a square point with no scales. I may need to send that out to Bill Ellis if he can make it look half as good as yours.

come on gentlemen step right up, step right up. A troubling situation has arrived in the razor club and that is the use of thumbnail pictures. I know that some of you old timers still remember when the razor clubs were a thing of beauty! with large glossy pictures of razors and we viewed until our hearts content. but those days are through it would seem. I beseech all the members of the razor clubs to take the poll in the general section and vote to restore large pictures to our beloved razor clubs. It is up to us gent and together we can restore these clubs to there former glory!!!!!!
