Hey Guys (and gals), check out this Genco I got today!

It's a Henry's Triumph with some fancy gold wash on the blade.






I have a Genco Gold Seal with gold on the tang and spine, but I was wondering if anybody else had any fancy Geneva cutlery razors.

I was under the impression they only made the utilitarian razors, but I guess I was wrong!

I have a Rodgers with Walker & Worsley's Triumph engraved on the blade.
I wonder what all these Triumph's were?
I've searched to no avail so far, I have not been triumphant

Yeah, I don't know what triumph they are referring to. I have a "Henry's X", does that mean it was a screw up compared to the "Henry's Triumph"?

I know the Geneva razors shave great, so is that the triumph they are referring to?

Perhaps "Henry" won some razor maker's contest, or got lucky the night before, and decided to celebrate with this razor...


Hey littlesilverbladefromwale, maybe we should get the triumphs together and have some sort of "There can be only one" Highlander-style shave challenge.

Probably a 650. Twin carb with open megaphone silencers. Belonged to Henry. Surely a Bonneville! Maybe he rode round on it waving the razor like Genghis Khan or Attila the Hun!

Seriously (if 'twere possible!) I think they commemorated show prizes at exhibitions etc. The name 'Henry' is mentioned in Genco history - could be he was one of their bladesmiths?

The blade is a good 6/8+ Scales were knackered though. I might need some nice black ones off you for it when I get some cash again.
I got my Genco from you though. A real beauty. Damn sharp little razor-yes it still is very keen

blueprinciple got me thinking, I did a GIS for geneva cutlery and Henry and came up with a few things.
