Default TI's back at Knifecenter.com

Particularly the Special Coiffeur AKA Super Gnome at a reasonable price. I have not bought a razor from them, blah, blah... usual disclaimers apply. Just an FYI.

THIS looks very nice, too.

I have to say, I was actually surprised at the price of the Gnome; it is lower than I expected. Not to say that I find it reasonable...

On behalf of those who might be interested, thanks for the heads up.

True. I picked my 6/8 Gnome when it was in the $90 range. I guess reasonable is relative - one thing's for sure though, prices won't be going down.

I believe I saw a post on here where someone (maybe that was you) commented on the price increase. I've only been into straights since about Feb '08 and started looking at prices around then. I certainly don't look at the prices on new razors often enough to notice if they are changing, but I do remember they were always more than I thought was worth spending, esp given what I could get on the BST for the same price.

The only thing I really do remember (other than that a 7-8/8 Friodur would run around $170 ) is that TI's tended to be on the pricey side. So, without knowing anything about the Gnome, I clicked on the link expecting a hefty price tag.
