MsHoney is on a distinguished road
Default Looking for someplace to consign razors

Through my brother-in-law's estate, I now have 12 straight edge razors. As a woman, I have no need of them! I know nothing about them or their value. I believe they are from the early 1900's but I am not positive. I am looking for someplace or someone that would have the expertise to look them over and determine if there is anything of worth and then be willing to work out a consigment arrangement to sell them. Here's a couple of the names: Robeson Cutlery (faux tortoise), Genco, H.M. Christensen, Sheffield, Kleeblatt, Griffon 60. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate the help. Thanks.

Welcome to SRP, MsHoney,

These sound like good brands and depending on their condition I suspect there will be people interested in them. The easiest is to take good pictures and post them here and you will get a lot more specific responses.
There was a gentleman recently who was in similar situation and ended up selling a collection of 50 or so razors in the Classifieds section of this forum.

I am moving this thread to the Razors section where you will be able to get more feedback.

One of these days in your travels, a guy is going to show you a brand-new deck of cards on which the seal is not yet broken. Then this guy is going to offer to bet you that he can make the jack of spades jump out of this brand-new deck of cards and squirt cider in your ear. But, son, do not accept this bet, because as sure as you stand there, you're going to wind up with an ear full of cider.
