Filarmonica 13 back in stock!!
Friends, it appears that Classic has the Fillie 13 back in stock at *gasp* 119.00. Considering the exorbitant prices on this discontinued razor on ebay (and other places), you may want to get yours now.

Thanks Ray. I got one the last time around. Besides an interesting smile at the tip, it's an awesome blade, and a great shaver.

I had one of these. Very nice, hefty shaver, indeed. Mike had a post about it being a bit tricky to hone - I had mine done by Lynn thru CS and it was perfect.

RayG,
I would like to thank you for two things.
First, for letting everyone know about this great opportunity. I already had one of these Fillys and thanks to you, I just ordered a second one.
Second, I would like to thank you having the decency for selling one of these in the classifieds a couple of weeks ago for the exorbitant price of $120.
You sir, are a boon to this forum, but your avatar still creeps me out!

Thanks for your kind words, but really, there is no need to thank me. I just follow the lead of the membership here. And helping to spread the RAD.

Thanks Ray,
I purchased one last night. This will be my first really big blade, I can't wait! I also got Lynn's honing service and this will be my first professionally honed razor as well. After four months of getting pretty good shaves with my personally honed razors, I'm anxious to see if I have been missing out on anything. Well, thanks again Ray for the heads up.
Cheers,

So True! Because not every razor is worth the money someone is asking, I would like to invite folks to add to the Straight Razor section of the WIKI. We have started a section with information of buying antique razors including QUESTIONS that folks should ASK SELLERS. People getting ripped off on ebay is nothing new, People getting ripped off in the classifieds is something we are hoping to avoid. Thanks for the information Ray! As always, Newbies are encouraged to ask other members about anything they are considering purchasing!

Thanks for the tip Ray! It's people like you and a bunch of others with your very helpful information and tips that keeps me coming back to this forum. I purchased one of these Filarmonicas a short while ago and like the blade a lot. If I didn't just buy a Dorko I would have considered another one of these from Classic.

Yeah, quite a difference between a 5/8 and that beast! Just wait till you shave with it. Then you'll be really impressed.
