How do you make a clean link?
I've seen others able to bury a link within a word. Like "click HERE"
How do you do that rather than just pasting the entire URL in a post which looks messy?
Thanks.

It goes like this: (URL=http://www.straightrazorplace.com)WORDS YOU WANT HERE (/URL) replacing the ( and ) with the usual [ and ] as if I had used those, you would not have seen my fancy typing. Again, here's the same thing with the squared brackets:

After you click the Insert Link button, it pops up with the bracketed URL, and ends with a bracketed /URL. The text between those two sets of brackets is what displays. So I'll try to do one without brackets (so it shows up) that links back to this thread.
URL="http://www.straightrazorplace.com/forums/showthread.php?p=171786#post171786" http://www.straightrazorplace.com/fo...786#post171786/URL
The bolded and underlined text is what shows up. So to change it to a "click here" sort of thing, type the word Click, then insert the link and replace the above underlined URL text with Here and it should look like:
Click URL="http://www.straightrazorplace.com/forums/showthread.php?p=171786#post171786" Here/URL
And your final product is...
But I have problems making some things clear. lol
I'm sure someone else can explain it better.
^Like Kaptain Zero^
lol
Quick buggar.

1. Copy your link.
2. Click the "Insert Link" button (the one with the globe on it).
3. Paste the link and click OK. The link will appear in your post.
4. Highlight the link.
5. Type the words you want in place of the link.
Here
Just like that!

One of these days in your travels, a guy is going to show you a brand-new deck of cards on which the seal is not yet broken. Then this guy is going to offer to bet you that he can make the jack of spades jump out of this brand-new deck of cards and squirt cider in your ear. But, son, do not accept this bet, because as sure as you stand there, you're going to wind up with an ear full of cider.
