One O' clock A.M. without fail!
Every time I try to move around this site at one A.M. PST, I find that it is shut down for a couple of minutes! What gives? Can anyone tell me?

Could be the nightly backup which locks the databases for a couple of minutes. I'll move it to site discussions where david'll see it.
Of course the real question is: why aren't you in bed at 01:00

Each night at 4am EST the site runs a backup of the DB. It's about 5gigs now, so it takes a few minutes. And while you can still get in and around the site, it does slow the server down for a few minutes.
