Looks like this is a feature of vbulletin in locking down older posts.

If you find that you have an old attachment that doesn't need to be there (useless from the post and is no longer needed), just request that the unneeded attachment is removed. You can do this by reporting the post or by PMing one of the moderators or super moderators.
