Default 2/25- sunday

sunday i opted for the second ebay razor i have gotten clean and sharp enough to try. a boker that was probabably loved by it's former owner... they had carved some ugly wooden scales... most likely maple or oak... but very ugly to see, although they razor is well balenced and shaves like a dream -- an old boker "extra hollow ground"

hot shower
T&H Trafalgar cream
shavemac brush
boker razor
4 passes... that last was just for practice
cold water rinse
witch hazel

a pleasant shave

Default 2/26 Monday

ebay special number 3 a dubl duck special #1

10 & 30 on a TM strop
Hot shower
T&H 1805 shave cream

DD Special #1
3 passes everywhere
4 passes on the cheeks and neck

i nicked the chin on the third pass... no particular reason. lately it seems that the dubl ducks do not like me. they were my all time favorite go to razors but in the last few months i semed to get nicked whenever i use one....

Nice shave, didn't go for BBS so didn't bother chasing a little stubble down low on the neck with a DE.

Shower,
Conditioner on beard

Homemade brush
Outram strop
TGQ Oak and Moss cream
Sanex aftershave balm
King of shaves moisterizer.

Excellent, although I did get distracted by a sudden noise and nicked myself.

Wed:

Rooney small style 1 brush
Gold-Dachs Spezial soap
Illinois #127 strop
5/8 C-Mon "Cadillac" (new production)
No a/s

The C-Mon is a new production example that I'd lay money is produced by Dovo. It's a surprisingly attractive razor for $52, with a gold wash shank and tail, and a gold wash logo on the blade, and 3-pin scales. It took a decent (but not spectacular) edge, and I got a good shave from it though with one small nick on my jaw because I forgot to dehorn the modified spike tip. I'll give it a few more days and see how the edge holds up.

Dovo Carbon Tortoise Handle 5/8
Shavemac 220 Silvertip
T&H 1805 Creme (free sample, first try)
Moss Scuttle
T&H Ultimate Comfort After-Shave Balm

Just one pass, in a bit of a hurry today...close on cheeks, chin, upper lip, neck a bit rough. The 1805 was a good cream, a little more astrigent on my skin than the Taylor's Rose or Avocado I've been using regularly.
