Had to shave for a government photo, 5+ days' stubble unacceptable
Shower
Trumper's violet ss for prep
Matt custom ivory super silvertip
C&E Nomad soap (love the scent)
Vintage Russia Shell Select
TIPTLE
6/8 Thistle spike
Trumper's CSF
What a shave! Trumper's violet soap has been dedicated to bath soap use. I want to finish it and try the Rose. THe violet is very underwhelming, i hope it was just too stale. At least it doesn't irritate my skin... if only it lathered well
TIPTLE is still too unpleasant even for half a pass. I need to actually hone this one, I guess.
The Thistle has been my go-to shaver for a while but I have been skimping on the linen and it's getting a taaad dull. Need to see what some linen will do. For some reason, this is the razor I reach for most often if the one I am testing doesn't work out too well...
Gotta love Nomad soap scent, really nice
Oh, in the middle of the shave my wife asked to take a shower... Like we don't have another bathroom And she even bumped into me No cuts or nicks, despite the distractions. I was almost ready to live with a couple
Cheers
Ivo

TI Super Gnome 5/8ths
Williams
Boar's Hair (Proraso Omega) brush
Pinaud Bay Rum AS
Bad shave.
Haven't used my TI in a while, I guess I left it in a less than shave ready state. And didn't strop well enough. Felt ok enough but man did the after shave turn my cheeks red.
Took a microscope to the edge and it was a mess. Few pieces of homemade micro-brillo on the edge and a newb bevel. WTF was I thinking when I put that into my 'shave ready' rotation...
Crud.
edit: also cut myself, hit a scar and caught it should've trusted that sign.

Testing a couple of razors on a couple of days' stubble
Trumper's lavender prep
Hot towel
Matt custom ivory super silvertip
Proraso green (I used to hate this stuff)
Vintage Russia Shell Select
5/8 Worldmaster rp
5/8 Udahl rp
CWR
JASON 6-in-1 AS
Pinot Grigio
Very nice shave. I used to hate Proraso, and I don't really know what made me try it again. Turns out, it's not too bad. Definitely not a favorite but certainly good enough for a quality shave.
Razors were quite smooth - I am satisfied with the hone job.
Cheers
Ivo
