Shave
Razor: Merkur 34C Classic HD Double Edged Safety Razor Chrome
Razor Blades: Treet Double Edge Razor Blades (Blue Steel)
Brush: Concord Shear Cobalt Long Handle Bulb Badger Shave Brush
Bowl: Mitsuwa 6" Beige shallow hand thrown Japanese bowl with side rest

Tomorrow I will start shaving left handed to get used to it so I can improve my STR8 and Feather ACD-N techniques.

Shave
Razor: Khilaso Works 6/8 Safa Chat 100 Soligen Germany Carbon Steel Straight Razor
Razor: Merkur 34C Classic HD Double Edged Safety Razor Chrome
Razor: Merkur 37C Slant Bar HD Double Edged Safety Razor Chrome
Razor Blades: Feather High Stainless Platinum Double Edged Razor Blades
Razor Blades: Treet Double Edge Black Carbon Razor Blades
Brush: Crabtree & Evelyn Edwin Jagger Made Brass & Faux Ebony Best Badger Shave Brush
Bowl: Mitsuwa 6" Beige shallow hand thrown Japanese bowl with side rest

Post Shave
Aftershave: Olbas Oil + Thayer's Witch Hazel Aftershave
Result: 4.4/5.0 The new STR8 needs some more honing. Has a nice heft and feel to it. I then went to the 34C HD Classic/Treet for the second pass. Didn't like the result and finished up with the 37C Slant Bar/Feather. Much better thank you. I froze my face with the Olbas oil and Thayers Aftershave. Smooth and cool.

Late Tuesday Morning
6/8 Maher & Grosh (Grampa's Razor)
TM #1 Horsehide (40 Laps)
Noxema Cleansing Cream as Prep
Hot towel
* Crema Sapone Cella SS
Hot Towel
German Boar Brush
Two Passes
Alum Bloc
Col. Conk's Amber A/S
A Close, Comforitable Shave
* Tried out this new shave soap from Olivia @ http://www.olivia-seife.de/menshaving.htm - Excellent lather, cushion, and slippery. A great performer! - although, the scent was like tallow. Smelled like an unscented candle, but otherwise, a great soap! I will try her "King Kong" tomorrow.

Testing a few razors with 7-10 days' growth
Shower
Plisson HMW 12 Horn
C&E Nomad soap
Vintage Clydesdale shell strop
Moss Scuttle - Tortoise Swede - Thursday
- TIPTLE
- Tiffany's Engstron frameback
JASON 6-in-1 ASB
Dab of Trumper's CSF
Ah, all the razors looked so beautiful when I prepared them for the shave: next to each other - tortoise, horn, and silver scales on immaculate blades
TI still not up to par, this thing has hard steel and needs lots of work. I am trying to use only fine hones and very light touch to keep as much material as poossible but am losing patience 9/10 or less
Frameback was very interesting (=different from other framebacks I have used), but also not quite there - to the point that I got a small cut on my neck, gotta hate it 9/10
The tortoise beauty was very pleasant, compared to the others - but still 9+/10 and I know it can be much better so will also get some more hone love.
Cheers
Ivo

Shower
Bath Soap: Epicurean Shea Butter Co Shea Butter Sexy Soap (Vanilla & Sandalwood)
Shampoo/Conditioner: Avalon Organics Peppermint Revitalizing Conditioner w/Babassu Oil
Shampoo/Conditioner: Avalon Organics Peppermint Revitalizing Shampoo w/Babassu Oil
Facial Wash: Neutrogena Razor Defense Facial Scrub
Deodorant: Burt's Bees Herbal Deodorant
Shave
Razor: Feather Artist Club DX Japanese Style Non-Folding Razor ACD-N
Razor Blades: Feather Feather Razor Pro Guard Blades
Brush: Concord Shear Cobalt Long Handle Bulb Badger Shave Brush
Bowl: Mitsuwa 6" Beige shallow hand thrown Japanese bowl with side rest
Shave Cream/Soap: Floris London J.F. Conditioning Shave Cream (Citrus Scent) Technique: WTG/45XTG
Post Shave
Aftershave: Anherb Aftershave Gel
Aftershave Balm: Anherb Aftershave Conditioner
Result: 2.5/5.0 Blew it. I should have stuck to one pass since I'm just starting with this razor. I was OK until I went 45XTG. Picked up 3 weepers and some irritation. On the good side, I got a very close shave. I probably would have ended up with a great shave if I had left it one pass and clean up with a DE. Rats. Anherb to the rescue.
